United Streetcar, LLC (a subsidiary of Oregon Iron Works, Inc.) and SKODA have partnered to produce modern, efficient, American-manufactured streetcars and to be a pioneering force in increasing urban transit options throughout the United States.  United Streetcar has completed manufacturing the first Buy-America compliant modern streetcar for the City of Portland, Oregon, and it is currently in the testing process.  The car will be available to ride this summer.  Please keep checking our site for further updates and information on the potential official unveiling this summer!
Secretary of Transportation Unveils Our Made In USA Streetcar

On July 1st Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood came to Portland to help unveil our Made In USA streetcar!  It is the first modern streetcar manufactured in America in 58 years.  Secretary LaHood was accompanied by Congressman Blumenauer, Congressman DeFazio, Congressman Wu, Congressman Schrader, and Governor Ted Kulongowski.
